1. Ai Senshi Nicol

 
Ai Senshi Nicol (愛戦士ニコル Ai Senshi Nicol?, lit. "Love Warrior Nicol") is a 1987 action game developed by Konami for the Family Computer Disk System. Nicole is a boy genius scientist hero, who develops the technology to move objects across dimension. A demon from the Dairasu star system intends to steal it for his own purposes and kidnaps Nicol's girlfriend Stella as part of his plan.

2. Aigiina no Yogen - From The Legend of Balubalouk 

Aighina no Yogen: From the Legend of Balubalouk (アイギーナの予言 バルバルークの伝説より Aigīna no yogen barubarūku no densetsu yori, lit. "Aighina's Prophecy: From the Legend of Balubalouk")[3] is a Japan-exclusive video game for multiple platforms in 1986. This video game is the spiritual sequel to an arcade game known as Balubalouk no Densetsu, which was also only released in Japan.

Air Fortress (エアーフォートレス Eā Fōtoresu) is a video game published in Japan for the Famicom in 1987, in North America for the Nintendo Entertainment System in September 1989 after an initial test release of 385 copies in 1987, and a PAL release exclusively in Australia in 1989.

4. Airwolf

Airwolf is a series of shooter video games based on the TV series of the same name. The first game based on the series was released for the Sinclair ZX Spectrum by Elite Systems in 1984. The game also was released on the Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC and Atari 8-bit family. A sequel, Airwolf II, was released in 1986.

Akagawa Jirou no Yuurei Ressha is an adventure game, developed by Mighty Craft and published by King Records, which was released only in Japan in 1991.

6. Akira

 

Akira (アキラ) is a visual novel adventure game based on Akira, the 1988 animated film version of Katsuhiro Otomo's manga, Akira. It was released in 1988 by Taito for the Nintendo Famicom console exclusively in Japan. The player takes the role of Kaneda, who begins the game when his motorcycle gang is taken into police custody after the abduction of their friend Tetsuo by the military.

Akuma-kun: Makai no Wana is a Role-Playing game, developed by TOSE and published by Bandai, which was released in Japan in 1990.

8. Akumajō Special: Boku Dracula-kun

 

Akumajō Special: Boku Dracula-kun (悪魔城すぺしゃる ぼくドラキュラくん Akumajō Supesharu: Boku Dorakyura-kun, "Demon Castle Special: I'm Kid Dracula") is a platformer video game made by Konami. It was released only in Japan for the Famicom on 19 October 1990. It is considered a parody of the Castlevania series. A version for mobile phones was also released on 30 June 2006 in Japan only.

9. Al Unser Jr.'s Turbo Racing

Al Unser Jr.'s Turbo Racing is a racing video game for the Nintendo Entertainment System console released in 1990. It is an adaption of the 1989 Japanese-market Famicom game World Grand Prix - Pole to Finish (ワールドグランプリ ポールトゥフィニッシュ), with the most notable changes being the addition of Unser as an in-game coach, the number of laps, sound and interface design. This game features a season mode and two time trial modes. In season mode the player uses either Al Unser Jr. or make their own driver.

Disney's Aladdin is a video game released in 1993 for the Sega Genesis, Amiga, MS-DOS, Game Boy / Color and NES, developed by Virgin and based off the Disney film of the same name. This page will only cover the Europe-only NES port.

11. Aladdin II

Aladdin II (not to be confused with the Mega Drive pirate of the same name) is a pirated port of the official Mega Drive version of Aladdin, made for the Famicom sometime in 1993-1994 by Chengdu Tai Jing Da Dong Computer Co

12. Aladdin III

In this game they abandon the scroller-adventure format and went with a straight side-scrolling magic-carpet shooter. Not bad. An improvement over Aladdin 2.

13. Alfred Chicken

The original game was released in the United Kingdom in 1993 for the Game Boy, Amiga, Amiga CD32 and Nintendo Entertainment System. A second game, Super Alfred Chicken, was released for the Super NES in February 1994 (along with the US release of the Game Boy and NES games)
