Game + roms NES (part 9)


1. Batman Returns
Batman Returns is a video game for various platforms based on the same name. The Sega console versions (i.e. Sega Mega Drive / Genesis, Sega Mega-CD, Sega Master System and Sega Game Gear) were published by Sega themselves while the NES and Super NES versions were developed and published by Konami. The MS-DOS version was published by Konami and developed by Spirit of Discovery. The Amiga version was developed by Denton Designs, and also published by Konami. There is also an Atari Lynx version, published by Atari themselves.

2. Batsu & Terii

Bats & Terry is a Japanese manga that follows the adventures of a pair of eponymous friends who are highschool students and baseball stars. The manga injects drama with the inclusion of motorcycle gangs ("bosozoku").

Around this time in 1987, a movie adaptation of Bats & Terry was released. The video game adaptation, by UserJoy (abbreviated as "Use" in-game), is a platformer that takes a few oddly themed worlds such as forests, caves and military bases. Makyou no Tetsujin Rasu, which roughly translates as "Ironman Race of Demon World".

3. Battle Baseball

Battle Baseball is a sports game, developed by Minato Giken and published by Banpresto, which was released in Japan in 1993.

4. Battle Chess

Battle Chess is a video game version of chess in which the chess pieces come to life and battle one another when capturing. It was originally developed and released by Interplay Entertainment for the Amiga in 1988 and later on many other systems, including 3DO Interactive Multiplayer, Acorn Archimedes, Amiga CD32, Amiga CDTV, Apple IIGS, Apple IIe, Atari ST, Commodore 64, MS-DOS. FM Towns, NES, Mac OS, NEC PC-9801, X68000 and Microsoft Windows. In 1991, Battle Chess Enhanced was released by Interplay for PC, featuring improved VGA graphics and a symphonic musical score that was played from the CD-ROM.


Battle Chess was critically acclaimed and commercially successful, resulting in two official follow-ups as well as several inspired games. Its a remake, Battle Chess: Game of Kings, was released on Steam on March 16, 2014.

5. Battle City


Battle City (バトルシティー Batoru Shitī) is a multi-directional shooter video game for the Family Computer produced and published in 1985 by Namco. It is a successor to Namco's 1980 Tank Battalion, and would be succeeded itself by the 1991 Tank Force.

An arcade version for the Nintendo VS. System would follow, and the game would eventually end up with the Virtual Console release for the Wii and Wii U. There was also a related Game Boy game of the same name dating back to 1991, who which is always published by Namco but developed by Nova Games.

6. Battle Fleet

Battleleet Pacific war is a pc naval strategy game, extension to the classic Battleship game where ships/planes/subs can move! Game contains missions, Death-Match and Free Hunt scenarios & campaigns from Pearl Harbor and Midway to the Iwo Jima and Leyte battle. War Game objectives: conquer enemy ports, defend friendly ports, destroy ships, secure transport convoy to the friendly port. Player can purchase new ships, planes, submarines during the game.

7. Battle of Olympus, The


The Battle of Olympus, originally released in Japan as Olympus no Tatakai (オリュンポスの戦い), is a 1988 side-scrolling historical action-adventure video game for the Nintendo Entertainment System developed by Infinity, and published by Imagineer in Japan, by Brøderbund in North America and by Nintendo in Europe. It was the first game from Infinity, and was designed and programmed by the company's president.
There's also a 1993 Game Boy port of the same game that was published by Imagineer exclusively for the European market. Despite its strong resemblance to the NES original, Infinity had no involvement in that version and was instead ported by the Canadian developer Radical Entertainment.

8. Battle Stadium - Senbatsu Pro Yakyuu

Battle Stadium: Senbatsu Pro Yakyuu is a Sports game, developed and published by IGS (Japan), which was released in Japan in 1990.

9. Battle Storm

Battle Storm (バトルストーム, "Battle Storm") is a Family Computer video game that was published by Yonezawa PR21 and released on December 21, 1991. A unofficial English translation patch for Battle Storm was released in October 23, 2015.

10. Battle Tank

Battletank is an action video game released by Absolute Entertainment in September 1990 for the Nintendo Entertainment System. The game is similar to the Atari game Battlezone, and supports one player. It was considered to be a poorly designed game, as it was intended to become a space flight game for the Commodore 64 during its development.

11. Battleship

The object is to sink the opponent's entire fleet without him sinking the player's fleet first. In this updated version, both the player and the computer get extra firepower from military aircraft and support weapons. There are even scenarios that start a player off in a pre-played game that he must resume (and overcome a bleak scenario). This video game was mentioned in an old issue of Nintendo Power. There also have been other versions of battleship, including Battleships for Amiga, Atari ST, Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, CDI, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, PC and mobile phones. There was a sequel on the Super NES and Sega Genesis, Super Battleship.

12. Battletoads


Battletoads is a beat 'em up/platform video game developed by Rare and published by Tradewest. It is the first installment of the Battletoads series and was originally released on 1 June 1991 for the Nintendo Entertainment System. It was subsequently ported to the Mega Drive, Game Gear and Amiga CD32. In the game, three space humanoid toad warriors known as the Battletoads, Rash and Zitz, embark on a mission to defeat the evil Dark Queen on her planet and rescue their kidnapped friends; Pimple and Princess Angelica.
The game was developed in response to the interest in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. It has received mostly positive reviews upon release, with critics praising the graphics and variations of gameplay, however many critics were divided over the difficulty. It won six awards from the 1991 Nintendo Power Awards, and has since been renowned as one of the most difficult video games ever created. It was later included in Rare's 2015 Xbox One retrospective compilation, Rare Replay.

13. Battletoads & Double Dragon - The Ultimate Team


Battletoads/Double Dragon is a 1993 beat 'em up developed by Rare and published by Tradewest. It was originally released for the Nintendo Entertainment System and later ported to the Mega Drive/Genesis, Super NES, and Game Boy.
The Ultimate Team is a crossover of both Technos Japan's Double Dragon and Rare's own Battletoads game franchises, although Technos had little or no credited involvement in the production of the game outside of the Double Dragon license. The game features the characters from the Double Dragon series, Billy and Jimmy Lee, two young martial arts experts; also included are the three humanoid toad protagonists from the Battletoads game. It is also the first Battletoads game to feature all three toads as playable characters. The game's engine and design are directly based upon the Battletoads series.

14. Be-Bop-Highschool - Koukousei Gokuraku Densetsu

Be-Bop High School (ビー・バップ・ハイスクール Bī Bappu Hai Sukūru) is a manga series by Kazuhiro Kiuchi that was published in sequential parts in the magazine Young Magazine from 1983 onwards. It has been adapted into seven live-action films, a video game, and an OVA anime series.

15. Beauty and the Beast


Beauty and the Beast is an action platformer developed by Probe Software and published by Hudson Soft for the NES. It was released in Europe in 1994. Gaston, logically, is the final boss of the game because he wants to kill the Beast and marry Belle.
The game was scheluded for a North American release, however for unknown reasons, it was never released. Prototype(s) of it exist, however it has been not dumped. The game is not playable on a North American console, because the VBlank refresh period was hardcoded to 50 Hz.
